What services do you offer? | We currently offer plain film digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), DEXA scans, Echocardiograms, and Interventional procedures under Ultrasound or CT guidance. |
Is there parking available on site? | Yes - parking is available and free. There are 32 individual car parks on Dallas Parade, as well as more car parks in the surrounding streets and car park across the road. |
What is the likely turn around time for results? | We usually aim for between 48 and 72 hours, however results often come through quicker. |
What costs are associated with the examinations? | The Radiology Company is proud to be a Bulk Billing Practice for all Diagnostic Examinations. Some interventional procedures incur out of pocket costs. |
Do I need to book an appointment? | Yes: for all non-urgent examinations, you will need to book an appointment with The Radiology Company. For X-Rays and Urgent Ultrasound/CT appointments, there is no need book an appointment. Urgent/fit in examinations include the following examinations:

Can I book my exam online? | Yes - you can book your appointments online: please click the "Book Now" tab on the website and follow the guided steps. |
What do I need to bring along with me? | Please bring your referral, medicare card and previous reports for the same region of interest (these can be paper copy or digital that you can email to the practice). |
If I'm having CT contrast, is there anything I need to do? | Before your appointment, you will receive specific instructions explaining how to prepare for your examination. It is important to follow these instructions carefully to ensure the best possible imaging results. If your examination requires the use of contrast material, please let your doctor or our staff know if any of the following apply to you. Although adverse reactions to contrast are uncommon, certain medical conditions and previous reactions may affect how your examination is planned. Please advise us if you have:Previously experienced an allergic or adverse reaction to contrast material. Allergies to foods, medications, dyes, preservatives, or animals. A history of heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, or thyroid disorders. Providing this information before your appointment helps us ensure your examination is performed as safely as possible. |
Am I allowed to have a support person with me? | Yes - of course. A support person will be admitted with you for the exam, however if the exam is CT or Xray, your support person will need to wait in the restricted/shielded area. |
How do I prepare for my exam? | Depending on the type of exam you are having, you may or may need to prepare for the exam. When you book your exam with The radiology Company, you will be emailed a set of specific instructions for your exam. |
Is there any risk with my X-Ray or CT examination? | With all imaging involving ionizing radiation (CT and X-Ray), there is a very small theoretical risk associated with the exam. However, with a risk/benefit relationship, your referring clinician has deemed that the risk for this exam is very small, compared to the benefit of accurate diagnosis. |
Do I need to let you know if I am pregnant? | Yes - it is very important to share this information with your imaging technician prior to undergoing the procedure. If you are pregnant, or think you might be pregnant, we need to know this prior to exam. |
What happens after my examination? | You will be free to leave the practice and return to normal activities. If you have undergone a procedure, you may wish to return home to rest or to follow the instruction of the Radiologist for management over the next 24 - 48 hours. |
